Jean-Marc Delon - banjo, vocal

S&eacut the moment Jean-Marc first glimpsed at the music of Flatt & Scruggs and The Stanley Bros., he was irresistibly drawn to the aching beauty of bluegrass mountain strains. Together with his brother (also members of Bluegrass 43), they expanded the perimeters of traditional bluegrass.
Jean-Marc has a powerful and intensely tasteful banjo style and is proficient on acoustic guitar as well. He remains one of the few European players with a full control of the Scruggs/Crowe style, and he has won the famed Kerville banjo contest in 1981. With Bluegrass 43, he toured the American Festival circuit several years in a row, and recorded an album in nashville with the help of Sam Bush and other noted players. He has lent his talents to a number of artists including Kathy Chiavola, Pam Gadd, George Hamilton V .

All of Jean-Marc's experience, afforded to only a select few musicians, is put into play with Turquoise and his rich voice is featured in the quartet selections.
